Project published in the catalog: Allestire l’antico, Turin, Allemandi ed. 2012

This project concerns the undergrounds spaces of third century baths for the city of Rome, built by the Emperor Caracalla. Subterranean paths, storage for firewood and tunnels that lead to ovens, long inaccessible, have been developed into a museum project. The underground spaces, welcome the audience and offer them a site for exhibitions and multimedia events. There will be sound intallations and 3D projections reconstructing the underground life of the third century. This represents a fresh new strategy for showcasing culture in the city of Rome.
